Rita Singh was born in  the city of Chicago, Illinois, however her family moved to the country southwest
of Chicago when she was an infant. She enjoyed the country life, it's solitude and it's nature. Living in
the country, walking to the neighboring farm to get eggs, picking wild raspberries with her brother and
sister, listening to the birds in the lilac trees, these experiences of her youth have developed into a
deep and meaningful relationship with nature.

She attended grade school and high school in Lockport, Illinois, then moved back into the city of
Chicago to begin her working life. She spent many years in sales and management, however, she
never quite felt satisfied or fulfilled with her work.

In 1997, she began courses in
Reiki, a Japanese form of Healing, and continued her practice up to the
Master/Teacher level. During this time, she studied many other modalities of Healing, and took courses
in
Bach Flower Therapy and from The Barbara Brennen School of Healing.

Shamsher "Shammy" Singh is a native of the northern Indian Himalayas,
near the border of
Tibet. He was raised in a Buddhist family. His brother and
uncle are monks in the Lama Gonpa (Monastery) in Kardang Village.
Kardang village is a small village with about 26 homes on the edge of a
mountain at 11,000 feet. The Lama Gonpa monestary overlooks the village.
Monks have been saying pujas (prayers) in that monastery for 1000 years.
Shamsher would wake in this peaceful environment to the smell of sage and
incense and the sounds of nature.

He was interested in
meditation from his early childhood. He discovered
those that meditated learned many things unknown to the outside world.
They mastered control over many subconscious processes, like body
heat. They are able to go outside in sub-zero temperatures, place a wet towel
on their backs, and rapidly dry the towel up with their body heat. He knew
many monks who would participate in a special three year course of silence
and could see first hand the impact that silence and centering have on a
person.

As a medical professional who
specializes in structural rehabilitation
of horses and companion animals, I
had been searching for someone with
the right background and training to be
able to help me with my own postural
and structural issues caused by
compensations from a recent ACL
surgery and accumulation of skiing
and equestrian falls.  I found that
professional in Rita Singh.  Her level of
postural knowledge and her ability to
restore my normal muscle and fascial
health have made IMMENSE
improvement in my movement and
posture.  Rita's work has definitely
helped enhance my surgical recovery
and put my posture and structure into
a balance it hasn't had in years.

I am a 20 year old man that had a
sinus condition for as long as I can
remember.  It was so bad that I had to
sleep on my stomach to keep myself
from drowning at night.I had surgery
and took all kinds of medications, but
nothing was working.  My mom set up
an appointment for me with Shammy
and I would do anything because my
hockey game was suffering. Each
session my sinuses got better. Then
after about four sessions, a congestion
cleared up and I have not had another
problem since.

In 1998, she began to suffer from chronic pain due to a heel spur. She was fortunate to find a Rolfer to help her through the referred pain that had
taken hold of her knees, hips, shoulders and neck. She realized just how much chronic pain affects your life and that of your family!  She was so
moved by the effectiveness of the Rolfing work, that she decided to become a Rolfer herself. The school requires a background in anatomy and
physiology, and most states require a massage license, so in 1999 she attended the American Institute of Massage Therapy in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida and received her Florida Massage License and National Massage Certification. She then attended The Guild for Structural Integration, in
Boulder, Colorado and became certified in
Dr. Rolf's Method of Structural Integration, commonly called Rolfing.

Her first visit to India was in 1996.  It was truly a huge impact on her. In 2001 she went to India for about a year, and studied and experienced
various forms of breathwork therapies and  meditations. It was during this trip that she and Shamsher met. He was her trek guide through the Inner
Himalayas. They would go to various Buddhist monasteries and libraries in the mountainsides and Shamsher would act as her translator.  His deep
understanding of her spiritual questions created such seamless conversations that she forgot she was speaking through a translator! One of their
treks was a "Kora," a clockwise circle around a holy site...only this site was on top of Drilbu mountain at an elevation of 16,000 feet! This is the
location where Gotsangpa, one of Buddha's 84 Siddhas, became enlightened.  She found the immense peace, silence and stillness of that place
transforming.

She and Shamsher moved to the mountains of Utah from Florida in 2005.
After his High School he moved to Chandigarh, a large city, for his college education. He studied Ancient Indian History. This includes the history of
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and the Vedas, such as Ayurveda, Rigveda, Samveda, Yjurveda. After college he returned to his village and opened a
small trekking and travel agency for the few travelers that make it up into the "Inner Himalayas." He would personally take anyone interested to visit
Buddhist Monasteries and Libraries.

In 1999 he followed his inner urge for the spiritual search.
This search took him into silent meditation for six months. This was a
transformational experience. This inner transformation led him to intensive Ashtanga Yoga and Pranayama practice. He also found himself enjoying
other meditations like Kundalini and Vipassana. He also embraced more cathartic meditations like "Born Again" and "Mystic Rose." He found himself
relaxed, joyous, and at peace with himself. This inner silence and peace naturally grew into a profound awareness of connection with Source.

Meditation led his interests towards
Universal Energy and that interest led him to a course of study in Pranic Healing. Prana is the East Indian word
for Universal Life Force Energy. He has also learned other techniques of healing, including
Reiki and Chakra Balancing.  He has been working with
children, animals, plants and adults with the use of Pranic Healing Energies for over six years with remarkable results. He is now living in the
Mountains of Northern Utah.
